About Evan Amell
Fitness has been the backdrop of my life since I first stepped onto a sports field, but my real understanding of its power didn't come from a textbook or a trophy, it came from a personal crossroads.
Shortly after graduating from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology, I found myself at an all-time low. I wasn't practicing what I had studied; I was sluggish, discouraged, and stuck in a cycle of poor habits. I remember that moment of clarity so vividly: I could either continue feeling like crap, or I could reclaim my life through discipline and movement.
The transformation wasn't just physical. While I certainly gained strength and shed weight, the mental breakthrough was the real win. My insecurities faded, my energy skyrocketed, and for the first time, I felt truly comfortable in my own skin. That shift turned a career path into a lifelong calling.
To provide the best possible results for my clients, I’ve combined my academic background in Kinesiology and Psychology with specialized certifications, including:
- NESTA Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach
- Certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Coach
- Competitive experience in the U.S. Powerlifting Association and amateur Strongman.
This blend of science, sport, and personal experience allows me to see the "whole person" when I’m coaching. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, and I know exactly how to get you out of it. To date, I’ve helped hundreds of individuals in Southern Maine lose unwanted pounds and build sustainable strength, but my favorite part of the job is watching my clients realize—just like I did—that they are capable of so much more than they ever believed.
